PHILANTHROPY

“Giving back” isn’t just a trendy phrase here at Tabatchnick. We’re proud of our good works, and we have a responsibility not only to our customers, but to the community at large.

That’s why in 2012, we partnered with Holy Apostles Soup Kitchen, New York City’s largest emergency food service, to launch “Tabatchnick Fridays.” Over 500 gallons of Tabatchnick soup are served each week to 1,200 hungry, homeless New Yorkers who visit Holy Apostles every weekday.  Our CEO, Ben Tabatchnick, was quick to respond to the need through our Great Soups, Good Cause Campaign. We’re also grateful to the wonderful folks at Holy Apostles for establishing the Ben Tabatchnick Humanitarian Award in 2015, to honor individuals in the community for their outstanding commitment to combating hunger and assisting others to self-sufficiency in New York City.

From the local community to around the world, we continue to give back. Nutty Butta, a ready-to-use therapeutic food (RUTF) developed by Ben, has saved thousands of children and adults suffering from malnutrition in Third World countries. Working with UNICEF, USAID, and other relief organizations, we’ve helped save countless lives.

Giving back is the only way we know how to do business, and in keeping with Ben’s mission and his philanthropic spirit, you can be sure we’ll continue to be a corporate role model for other food companies.
